Liberty, Sir, Is the Primary Object
writes, "So in effect, the REAL ID Act puts the citizens privacy in grave danger, usurps the constitutional authority of the states (therefore endangering the people of the United States), puts our biometrics and photo in to a database like a common criminal, then refuses those who believe it is wrong to have such ID the right to enter or use those facilities or events which they actually are paying for. Does this make sense to you? The only way I can see it, is that the government is taking advantage of the people and continuing to abridge the citizens rights to gain more and more power."

Spruce Pine Mayor Advocates Unconstitutional Ballot Access Restrictions
writes, "LENOIR, North Carolina (October 21, 2007) - During the past month, Bryan Greene and his campaign staff have come to find that the people of North Carolina’s 10th Congressional District are beginning to look for someone new to represent them in Congress. They are searching for a true conservative and constitutionalist and are now enthusiastically embracing Bryan Greene and his campaign of freedom and truly limited government for Congress.

On October 13, 2007, Bryan Greene and some of his campaign staff attended the Mineral City Heritage Festival in the beautiful town of Spruce Pine, NC. At the festival, Mr. Greene gathered signatures toward the 17,000 minimum (approx.) which are unconstitutionally mandated by NC General Statute §163-122(a)(2). These signatures are mandated in spite of the fact that the North Carolina State Constitution clearly reads in Article 1, Section 10 that “all elections shall be free.” These signatures simply show the state that the individual signer believes that Bryan Greene, just like any other candidate or individual, has the right and freedom to have his name printed on the election ballot and that the voters have the right to more than two choices.

NC Election Law - Abridging Our 1st Amendment Rights
writes, "Year after year we hear of individuals whose freedoms of speech, assembly, or religion are violated by either the federal or state governments, demanding that their freedoms be respected. Yet, we never seem to hear of the unconstitutional and deplorable abridgement of thousands upon thousands of Americans’ freedom of speech that takes places every election day in almost every state of the union.

This infraction upon our freedom of speech is the infringement on our right to vote by constrictive ballot access laws, and it is a degradation of the very essence of our representative form of government. These ballot access laws restrict thousands of American citizens from being able to vote, or at least being able to vote for the candidate that they feel best represents them. To better understand how these laws restrict the voter’s right at the ballot one needs to be acquainted with the laws and then the implications of those laws. Sadly, one of the most restrictive states in the union for these types of unconstitutional laws is our very own North Carolina.

Congressman Patrick McHenry Hosted Town Hall Meeting
writes, "After Congressman Patrick McHenry toured the new addition of the Blue Ridge Regional Hospital earlier in the day, he spoke to a group of concerned citizens at Abundant Life Outreach Center. Some of the subjects of discussion that came up were vet's benefits, immigration issues and healthcare."
